Maddison Ballard, LPC-Associate

Maddison is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate providing virtual services across the state of Texas. She is also a Certified School Counselor and actively works with elementary students.
Maddison first pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Education, specializing in Early Childhood. Upon graduation, she decided to focus on her work with teens and taught high school students in Arlington, Texas. While serving high school students, her passion for impacting youth, educators, and people from all backgrounds inspired her to pursue her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. After teaching, Maddison began to focus on prevention and education by entering school counseling for children in preschool through 6th grade.
Maddison has experience working with teenagers and their families in the Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization settings, partnering with families and a team of other mental health professionals to support the child’s wellness. She is also able to use her knowledge of school counseling to support children with diagnoses and their families in navigating coping skills and educational supports that may be available.
Maddison provides counseling services to people ages 14+ for a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stressors related to parenting and single parenting, Autism Spectrum Disorder, burn out and stress related to working in education. In order to address each client’s specific needs, Maddison uses a number of counseling theories such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy.
